Mount & Blade: Warband Multiplayer Trailer

Taleworlds Entertainment has released multiplayer footage of Mount & Blade: Warband, the expansion for its medieval action RPG. While the trailer shows only small skirmishes, Warband adds team deathmatch multiplayer with up to 32 players.

Warband will also tart up the graphics, extend diplomatic options, improve combat and AI, and allow players to lead their own faction when it arrives later in the year.

man it's funny looking at it that I played that game so much, because in a lot of ways it's just amateur. but ridiculously fun and a better idea than most action games.

My M&B Dream:

- 32 players
- Buy system like CS where you get money each round and can upgrade your gear
- Ability to buy NPC henchmen to follow you around in addition to the PCs
- Various combat modes like meeting engagement and sieges

For anyone who is a MMO fanatic, or likes the Medieval series: this game is a MUST GET. M&B is one of those rare games with so much insight, forethought, and subtlety in its vanilla game and provides such a good base for total conversions.

Of all the blockbuster games of last year, including Fallout 3, I have to say I had the most fun with this silly dated-looking game. I eagerly look forward to this and future incarnations of the M&B series from Taleworlds.

it doesnt seem that they're doing multiplayer with the same open-world map movement that was in the original, as far as ive heard anyways, but it would be totally awesome and i hope this will be accomplished through mods.

They could just rename it Mount & Blade: The Mod Platform. I know the current version's graphics aren't exactly pretty, but you do yourself a disservice if you don't give this game a shot. The open world gameplay is pretty good in vanilla, and some of the mods are just amazing total conversions.
