Borderlands E3 Screenshots Released

The E3 2009 screenshots from Gearbox Software's Borderlands are now available, showing yet more of the new art style now being used by the sci-fi action RPG.

Borderlands is expected later this year on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Im one of the people who doesn't like the new art style. The game looks like a cartoon now. They've created an interesting world, but I don't see how this will make it any easier to become immersed in it nor do I think it fits with the grityy premise..

God this game looks awful, the NEW artstyle is really lacking now I see more of these level screenshots. Is there ANY art style to the worlds they are designing or are they just throwing things together? I had no interest when this originally got announced and even with the other desert/madmax games (rage, fallout) in the neighborhood my interest in this title has grown a whole hell of a lot lately. These screens look killer. Looks like a comic book.
