Final Fantasy 7 Hits PlayStation Store Today

A downloadable re-release of Square's PSone classic Final Fantasy VII will be released in the online PlayStation Store today, enabling PlayStation 3 and PSP owners to purchase and play through the beloved role-playing classic.

Sony CEO Jack Tretton made the announcement at Sony's E3 press conference today, noting that close to 50 PSone titles are coming soon to the online marketplace.

Update: The PlayStation Store digital download of FFVII runs $9.99.
