Wii Vitality Sensor Revealed
by Nick Breckon, Jun 02, 2009 10:00am PDTNintendo today announced a new prototype device called the "Wii Vitality Sensor" which will measure a player's pulse.

"Maybe everyone under pressure in our stressful society could use this to relax with a videogame," said Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, who did not detail any software which made use of sensor.

In general, Nintendos announcements have been a great disappointment so far. From a gamers perspective the Wii isn't very exciting. It's just a party and family console (and a very good one for these target groups).

Also, the pulse checker to me, seems like the lamest wii announcement ever. Or at least, the wierdest. For one thing, for a while now they have been announcing new hardware and software to go with it. Imagine if they had announced the balance board without wiifit?
