I am on the negative side of this. I admit the combat mechanic looks cool but this is not Splinter Cell. You do not take out a shotgun, kick down the door, and clear the out Rainbow Six style in a Splinter Cell game. They went the Jason Bourne route on this one. I'll bet it won't have something like Chaos Theory's coop mode either.

Seriously though waht the fuck is going on, is stealth too fucking "lame" or "gay" for the X-Box kids these days?

Apparently judging by the numbers, it doesn't make as much money. Gold figure.... hehe.

Yeah but that's retarded, the first splinter cell game was a great success. Sold like 3 million copies, for the X-Box that's not bad. If it's sales are falling its because they franchised the shit out of it with a game every year.

Thief's an even purer and deeper stealth game than Splinter Cell.

But you just know the live accomplishments are coming.

Seesh, people overreact so easy. You CAN stealth in OR you can go full out. And you could in the old ones too if you wanted with the machine gun etc.

Not in Chaos Theory you couldn't.

You can't go all out in any splinter cell game.

You can sneak past or you can stealth kill, but going all out always gets you killed in a hurry.

I agree partially, this doesn't look like a Splinter CeIl game, but it looks good enough that I'll give it a chance. Plus, while SC's stealth mechanics were great and all (Chaos Theory being the best IMO), story-wise it makes more sense that, in looking for revenge for his daughters death, he just doesn't care about the preservation of life or being undetected anymore. He wants to kill.

Reminds me of Taken, the movie, which is badass.

I am waiting to see what they say about multiplayer. I am more interested in that than the single player.

Yeah I yearn for the return of Pandora Tomorrow's good multiplayer.

Barring the coop, I don't even remember what multi was like in Chaos Theory; never even played double agent's.

CT multiplayer was exactly the same as PT multiplayer, if I recall. Maybe a little better-looking, but the same style.

Oh I remember now. The multi did not use the new tech so it looked exactly the same as the old PT multi.

I'll have to try it again on the dreaded ubi hub thingy, heard it's still pretty lively
