The downloadable Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network release of id's classic first-person shooter Wolfenstein 3D will arrive next week, Activision has just revealed.

Containing both the original Wolfenstein 3D and "Nocturnal Missions" expansion--making for a total of 60 levels across six episodes--the shooter will hit Xbox 360 on Wednesday June 3, followed by the PlayStation 3 release on Thursday June 4.

No word yet on a price, though Activision noted that those taking the challenge to defeat the twisted Nazi regime" in Wolf 3D will gain additional accolades and gold for use in Raven's upcoming revamp Wolfenstein (PC, PS3, 360)--due in stores on August 4.

There are some games that I love so much, that I have to buy them whenever they're re-released. This is one of those games.

Me, too. I loved playing through Doom again on the 360 so this should be good as well.

You know, I thought that too and bought this game on Steam awhile back... After a couple of levels, it sorta became like that cartoon you liked as a kid but now you realize that it just doesn't hold your attention anymore.
