Fight Night Round 4 Demo Now on Xbox Live

After a brief period of exclusivity for pre-ordering folk, the Xbox 360 demo for Fight Night Round 4 is now available as a free download for Xbox Live Gold members.

The demo has two boxers, Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton and Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao.

Those with free Xbox Live Silver accounts will be able to access the demo in one exactly week on June 4--the same day that the demo goes public on PS3. The full version of EA Canada's Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 boxing game ships off to retailers on June 30.

I don't know about you guys but what pisses me off most about this game is that the online play is so fucking laggy. I've never played an online game from the previous iterations that didn't lag. It defeats the purpose of having online play if it's not as fluid as single player or two players from the same box.

I was really disappointed to find that out because otherwise it's a really fun game.

Meh... Is there no wind-up shot like in FNR3 PS2?

They all still move at superhuman speeds and there's not really enough rounds to have any fun with it.

This already seems to be a vast improvement over FNR3. The 60 FPS is actually noticeably smoother, the graphical detail is sharper and more accurate, and the physics give it the feeling of actually participating in a real boxing match.

I was the Pac-man, and he felt like he had the attributes of the real fighter. Hatton, outside of not getting KTFO, actually fought me like hatton would fight a fighter not named Floyd or Manny. He was bully fighting, working the insides, and I really appreciate the attention to detail.

This game is going to be very good.

Xbox Live seriously needs to give you the option to Wake On LAN for the 360 so if you queue something up and your system is connected and on, it'll auto download in that sleep state and shut back off. I'd love to download this immediately from work.
