Heavy Rain Screenshots Appropriately Sodden

12
Quantic Dream--developed of Indigo Prophecy--shows off quick-time interrogation and crime-solving gadgets in new screenshots of its grim adventure game Heavy Rain.

As with Indigo Prophecy--known as Farenheit outside North America--Heavy Rain's story will be told through the eyes of several characters, and shaped by their actions.

Published by Sony, Heavy Rain is out late in the year exclusively on PlayStation 3.

Is it just me or does this game not look nearly as impressive as it did a year ago? Still looking forward to it though.

Wasnt that just a "target render" a la Kill Zone 2?

I think it still looks equally awesome. They may have touched up those shots from a year ago, some filters or something. Fahrenheit was crazy awesome even with the rambling, totally weird and out of place second half with the alien/back from the dead stuff.

I could have forgiven the messy second half if it had at least had a decent ending. But instead it pulls some retarded Dragonball Z bullshit. Embarrassing.

Really looking forward to this, though. Hopefully it won't end up being rushed to completion like (I think?) Fahrenheit was.

Just you..i think the characters are some of the best I've ever seen on a console. I hope the whole thing isn't a quick time event fest like Indigo Proph was.

Have you seen the gameplay video that was released a year or so back? That's pretty much what it is, yes.

These shots are much less impressive than other stuff (including the early video) that was released.

It looks like they took some inspiration from Mass Effect with the graphics style.
