I'm not sure I believe it. I enjoy working on my car but I think if I did that for a living, I wouldn't want to do it in my time off. Right now I bake things but I sure as hell don't do it when I come home. Maybe when I'm doing something else for a living, I will.
I bring this up because I'm having trouble figuring out what I want to do with my life (which I'm sure a lot of us do). Work has been frustrating me more than normal lately, and although the money is good; I'm just not sure it is what I want to do long term.

Used to be a hobby just like working on your car, but I'm now running a successful business. I certainly don't do it as a hobby now like I used to, in fact I don't like photography that's not work related anymore, or at least at the moment.
It's mostly because I now put so much energy and thought into photography that when I'm taking pictures anywhere it needs to be done to a really high standard, and that takes more time and energy then most hobbiest photography allows.
But I like it like that, I'd rather have a day job I truly enjoyed with the occasional shitty bit, then have a naff job with an escapist hobby. Just the way I roll.
