Sega Brings Jambo! Safari to Wii and Nintendo DS
by Chris Faylor, May 20, 2009 9:28am PDTLook out! Wild freaking animals are coming to Wii and Nintendo DS later this year, as Sega is resurrecting an updating its old arcade animal herding game Jambo! Safari.
As players drive through the African savanna, they'll be tasked with everything from diagnosing sick animals to taking pictures to lassoing to hot air balloon rides. Of course, Sega vowed that those playing on Wii can swing the Wii Remote "like a lasso."
The Wii edition will also sport various four-person multiplayer modes, along with two player co-op and the ability to customize both your ranger and their respective vehicle. Meanwhile, the DS version is said to "make full use of the stylus and double screens."
Titled Jambo! Safari Ranger Adventure on the Wii and Jambo! Safari Animal Rescue for the Nintendo DS, both games are slated to arrive in the nebulous late 2009 window.
