Evening Reading
by Nick Breckon, May 19, 2009 6:00pm PDTIt's nice to hear that Zeno Clash apparently sold well enough to justify a sequel. Games that I also hope get a sequel: Plants vs. Zombies. Or, rather, I hope Popcap makes another game that good that doesn't have anything to do with jewels.

The war against Horde, horde (a sister alliance) and Wolves (dunno wtf the deal is with them) rages on. We're not entirely without allies, though: TRC and TRC2 are allied with us against our enemies, and we're working on forging non-aggression pacts and treaties with other alliances.
We're locking down security to prevent meta-gaming infiltration by spies, just like we did in Urban Dead. So far we've only had to kick a few folks who nobody could vouch for; however, our list of players is out-of-date by a day or two, so more might be forthcoming. We've also been purging inactive players to make space in our primary alliance (Shaqnews), but we're pretty much maxed out right now (100). Fortunately, Agrona has graciously agreed to become the host (leader) of a second alliance for folks to make more room. The game is sophisticated enough that both alliances can be linked to allow easy identification of neighbors on the map. However, each alliance has its own separate in-game chat channel -- unfortunately, there's no way to link them together.
