Madden NFL 10 Screenshots Hug It Out

10

Much like the tackles in an HBO recap of the Super Bowl, these screenshots for EA's Madden NFL 10 slow it down to the extreme, turning football into a graceful ballet of men in tights hugging eachother until it hurts. At least the collision detection looks solid.

Madden NFL 10 hits the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on August 14. A Wii version with an exaggerated art style is also in the works, in addition to PSP and PS2 titles.

I have not bought a madden game since 2003. Since there is a good chance I will have an HD television by the time the game releases, I may get this on my 360.

    However,

Being a new Wii owner, and far from a hardcore Madden guy (probably won't play online at all), are these games worth looking into on nintendo's box? I know the graphics are big downgrade, but is mimicking throwing the football with waggle any fun? Enough to get it over the much prettier 360 version?

The Wii version is veeeery different from the 360/ps3 versions. They looks like ps2/xbox1 graphics wise, but gameplay is ridiculously fun. This year the graphics have been tweaked a lot and looks a lot more cartoony than any other Madden ever made. Using the Wiimote to hike/throw/juke is really addicting - especially spearing the Wiimote forward to plow through someone.

I don't have a 360/ps3 so someone else will have to let you know how those are, but the Wii version of Madden is the only Madden I actually like.

Not that I know of, you could always rent it for a day and see if it's your cup-o-tea.

If it's anything like the NCAA 2008 controls that was a pretty fun game on Wii.

does the Wii version include all the physics changes this year that make these screenshots possible (and the reason I'll get Madden this year for the first time since 03)?
