Evening Reading

Played a decent amount of Killing Floor, the zombie survival mod-turned-retail game from Tripwire. It certainly still feels more like a mod than a retail game, but I sort of like it with the right group of people.

I do wish that you could build actual barricades in both this game and Left 4 Dead. I have a gaming fetish that can only be sated by piling random objects in front of a door and playing hide-and-go-shoot. This explains my intense love of Resident Evil 4.

Statement of fact:
The iphone is the most intuitive electronic device ever created. I'm not saying "best," but if you gave it to someone who's never seen a computer they'd "get" it.

Case in point: my two year old son.

When using our home computer he doesn't "get" it. He doesn't understand why you have to use this mouse thing, and why he can't find which apps he wants to launch. He's learning the keyboard quite well, but for some reason the whole idea of a mouse to manipulate things on a screen just doesn't jive with his brain yet.
