Treyarch's World War II shooter Call of Duty: World at War has been reduced in price by 50% on Steam this weekend, bringing the final price to $25.

The PC package throws in the first free map pack, which includes "Verruck," the latest addition to the popular Nazi Zombie mode.

In other news, Call of Duty 4 still $40.

Yeah, no need to discount when sales are still good. World at War is pretty much a failure, scrap Treyarch.

Um... I'm not sure about PC but it's pulling its weight really well on the 360.

I wouldn't say giant bomb, but aren't COD4 numbers around 13 mil? That's a sizable difference and I'd say a big enough discrepancy to say WaW did not acheive expected results.

I never played CoD4 myself, and I will be picking this up because of the price tag.

Was kind of hoping COD4 MW would have been on sale instead of this one. Treyarch = meh. Sorry :( No sale.

Sure it is for some people, for me I've just never been able to get into the Treyarch side of COD, - loved the IW ones. Maybe it's the feel or the locales, or the way Trey make their version of the games. Just doesn't do it for me.

I've never played cod4, I do want to but i won't buy it for more than $20. If i've waited this long I can wait longer.
