I use Irfanview to view pictures but ever since upgraded to Windows 7 some of the pictures load insanely low. I'm talking 1 minute or more. Gifs video type files are notorious for taking long. And even the windows 7 explorer box with a bunch of gifs can take minutes to unfreeze. Has anyoen experienced this? I know irfranview doesn't support windows 7 and I heard there may be an issue between that and running AVG. Any alternatives to irfranview or a fix for this?

A small but vocal group of people are really pissed off at how little control they have over Google Update, the process that keeps Chrome and other Google products up to date. Today the team behind Google Update announced support for Windows Group Policy controls on update, allowing individuals or enterprise administrators to set Google Update to automatic/manual/no updates and control the frequency of update checks. Read more at http://google-opensource.blogspot.com/2009/05/google-update-releases-update-controls.html , which has links to specific documents about how to do this. Hopefully this satisfies some of you that have (rightly) noted that Chrome isn't suitable for a lot of enterprises without any control over updating.
Also, I can't say any dates for sure, but we're getting close to updating the stable channel to use the recent beta builds, as well as pushing out our very first (and very rough) Mac and Linux builds as dev channel releases. So people waiting for one of those, know that we are indeed thinking of you!
Finally, if you've somehow missed it, filthysock has created a package of Shack greasemonkey scripts as a single Chrome extension, which dev channel users can install. He notes that it's ugly and hackish in some cases, but it's a rough version until our extension support is more fleshed out. So if you can't live without:

... then head on over to http://www.filthysock.com/chromelol.htm and read up! Thanks filthysock and ThomW!

Can a new team take these assets and finish the work that has already been started? The DNF team has been disassembled and there is no getting them back together if what I've been seeing is true. Many of them are close to getting jobs and what not. I seriously doubt it.
I'd venture to guess that if the assets were taken up by another capable team, we're looking at another two years in development at least which is a joke because the legal battle isn't going to end quickly, I'm sure it'll be long and drawn out. What a waste.

I became interested in them after having a conversation with somebody who had tried it and told me about his experience. Needless to say I thought the whole thing was a load of rubbish but I’m an open minded person so I downloaded a ouija board from http://www.castleofspirits.com/ouijaboards.html and printed it out. I read a few websites about how dangerous a ouija board is and how you shouldn’t do it alone but still wanted to give it a try. I waited until 2:00am to get the right atmosphere and then sat there trying to summon a spirit by following the instructions.
Nothing happened and I was feeling like a bloody idiot but I thought I may as well try for a while longer to see if a spirit turned up. I gave it 15 minutes, trying various approaches to provoking the spirits into moving the coin but still nothing happened. Eventually I got up and left the coin on the board while I washed some dishes from earlier. I started thinking about other things and forgot about the ouija board but a while later I turned around and near shat myself when the coin started moving rapidly from letter to letter.
“A L W A”. After these four letters I near threw the board across the room but I man up and keep watching. “Y S B E”. My heart’s pounding and I’m shaking like a leaf but I keep watching trying to remember the letters. “T O N D” I can’t make any sense of it and my mind is hazing over due to the fear but I keep watching. “U K E E 3 0 9”. After this the coin goes to the “Goodbye” and I ran out the room and am too scared to go back there. I’ve calmed down a bit now and have been looking over the message but with no spaces between the words I can’t work out what the spirits were trying to tell me.

"This reintroduced the problem of using a right-handed swing to control a left-handed sword attack. The team did not have enough time before release to rework Link's character model, so they instead flipped the entire gam42]—everything was made a mirror image.[43] Link was now right-handed, and references to "east" and "west" were changed. The GameCube version, however, was left with the original orientation. The Twilight Princess player's guide focuses on the Wii version, but has a section in the back with mirror-image maps for GameCube users.[44]]/"
That's crazy that the wii version is completely flipped.

Good god I'm a chatty bitch tonight
Best Screen Writing Software? I'm thinking of going with Movie Magic Screenwriter. I've read a lot about Final Draft Pro (crapola) and how most of the industry used Movie Magic to help with budgeting, etc.
Your thoughts?
and if I may be so bold, is there anyone on here that is in the industry that can check out what I've written and give me some feedback (that sucks or keep working on it?) I know it's bold, but this place is so diverse that I figured, what the hell.
Oh and porn? I know some of you are doing that on here, I have an idea, how easy is it to do and get distrubution?
back to drinking...
