Croteam Still Developing Serious Sam 3, New Game
by Nick Breckon, May 14, 2009 2:43pm PDTA new update to the website of recently quiet Serious Sam developer Croteam tells us that the studio is still working on a sequel to the action-packed shooter, the Serious Engine 3, and a new announced game.
"Since the Serious Sam 2 was released in end of 2005, we have been working hard on a number of things, one of which is new next-gen 'Serious Engine 3' technology," wrote Croteam CEO Roman Ribaric. "We have also recently started the development on two games, one of which is the next Serious Sam FPS game."
Ribaric added that the studio is close to finding a publisher for Serious Sam 3, while its joint project with Gamecock, a military shooter announced in 2007, has been put on hold.
"Our development is going great on all three projects and we will soon have exciting things to show," concluded Ribaric.

On the other hand, Serious Sam probably exists to fill the void left by Duke Nukem. So which came first? Chicken? Egg?

When they went console with SS2, it was gawd awful in so many ways. Not surprised they went silent so long. Not surprised they haven't found a publisher for SS3. Nothing in those screen shots looks up to par with 1999.
