BioShock 2 Trailer Offers Eight Minutes of Gameplay

2K Marin gives an extended look at BioShock 2 with eight minutes of gameplay footage narrated by creative director Jordan Thomas. Brave early plot spoilers to be rewarded with the hot scoop on what's new in the sequel, not to mention some stunning vistas.

Developed by 2K Marin--with Digital Extremes handling the multiplayer--and published by 2K Games, BioShock 2 is set for release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall.

Sounds/looks good, but I enjoyed the first game also. I do hope that they use higher resolution textures this time around though, or at least give some modding possibilities.

Any skepticism I had of Bioshock 2 being as awesome as Bioshock 1 is now gone. That was a perfect introduciton.

The only thing i worry about is the difficulty if you choose to harest the little sisters. It seems like a really easy fight against the splicers if you don't have to protect anyone.

Sound in it is amazing. I like the piece that plays when you're underwater, then the stings and other effects when you're fighting the splicers is right up there with a Hollywood block buster. Shame the gameplay doesn't look like it's going to be anything that different from the first except with a few tweaks.

The game itself looks kinda cool, and it almost sounds like it'll just be a more polished Bioshock, which'd be cool.

However, I wish we could just get the raw gameplay instead of the overly self-promoting narration.

I don't feel like there has been a long enough amount of time since the first one for me to really want more of the game. Even if they switch it up a bit I think I would rather they did something original now and then came back to rapture in a couple of years when I've had a chance to "miss" it.
