Terminator Trailer: Check Your Sensitivity at the Door

This trailer for Halcyon and GRIN's upcoming Terminator Salvation tie-in game features a lot of epic music, played overtop footage depicting what is possibly the most annoying activity in videogaming: shooting small things out of the air. Let's hope there's a gravity gun in John Connor's future.

Terminator Salvation hits May 19 on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Whoah, instant flashback to the very beginning of Daikatana. NOT what you want your game to evoke, I think...

I sometimes wonder if perhaps designers/developers shouldn't be forced to play through some of the shittiest games of this and previous generations just so they can point to it when someone suggests groundbreaking new gameplay concepts like this.

I could be totally wrong, perhaps this will be the BEST ever "shooting small things out of the air" game in the world. But probably not.

Looks good! A lot better than the fare we've seen on this franchise. Nothing holds a candle to T2 Arcade but this might be quite fun.

seriously, why the hell would you show off one of the shittier parts of a game. I don't think there's anything i thoroughly hate more than small, fast-moving objects that don't enhance the game whatsoever.

I'm really looking forward to this, but I can't help shake the feeling that I might be buying a 2-hour game. The setpieces they showed off in this video are identical to the ones from the last trailer, as are the enemies.

There needs to be more types of robots to kill. I saw a crab-pod-looking one at one point, and then a whole bunch of flying ones of different sizes. How about a robot shaped like a snake? Or a duck? Why do they have to be all shiny and with loud engines? So you can hear them coming? Y'know what, I'm just gonna go make my own game...
