True Gamers has posted their pre-event coverage of the Razer CPL event which starts tomorrow, taking a look at who may win the phat cash prize. And in more Razer CPL news, Gamepig has a transcript of a chat with Angel Munoz, who is president and founder of the CPL. They touch on a couple of things, such as CPL Asia, CPL Australia, bigger cash prizes and also the situation of Pele, a Russian player not allowed to visit the US to play at the Razer event.

I notice that most CPL tournaments (in the US) are held in Dallas. I realize this is more convienent for the CPL people, but since I'm not a hardcore tournament player, and my Q3 skills are very rusty, I don't really have a chance of doing well in the tournament. I'd mostly be attending just for the peripheral experiences. I can't justify taking vacation from work and flying to Texas just for that, but I'd happily take a day off work and drive a couple hours for the experience.

Any chance of more CPL tournaments being held in different places (Atlanta would be best for me :)? I realize some of this is up to the sponsors.
