Naked Sky's top-down shooter Star Trek DAC and Wideload Shorts' minigame-filled card title Texas Cheat 'Em will both hit the online Xbox Live Arcade on Wednesday May 13, Microsoft said today, confirming recent word from the games' respective publishers. Both games will sell for 800 Microsoft Points ($10) a piece, with Star Trek offering class-based online multiplayer for up to 12 players and Cheat 'Em supporting up to 8.

PlayStation 3 and PC versions of both titles will follow their Xbox 360 debut, with Star Trek due on other platforms shortly after its Xbox 360 debut. Meanwhile, Texas Cheat 'Em arrives on PlayStation 3 Thursday May 14, with the PC release date still TBA.

I have a huge Star Trek itch that needs scratching. Hope DAC doesn't suck.

Uh, I thought it was pretty common knowledge that the new Star Trek movie was WTFPWNYOURFACE. Movie was perfect, IMO.

I agree. I had very little to complain about the movie. The ONE THING that I came up with was that I would have rather seen [Ando from Heroes] as the Sulu character than Harold, and that's mostly because that kid isn't nearly Asian enough.

The demo for the DAC was garbage because the only class of ship you can be is the smallest one.

The Wing Commander game is much more fun and has a lot more depth. The Star Trek game offers three different ship classes but they're the exact same on both the Federation and Romulan ships so while there are 6 ships, there are really only 3. The Wing Commander game has about 10 I think. Also the game is pretty much a death match game and that's pretty much it. The game got old before I was done playing the demo.
