New Hitman, Kane & Lynch Games Confirmed
by Alice O'Connor, May 11, 2009 8:50am PDTEidos Life President Ian Livingstone has revealed another Hitman game is in the works, as well as details on other upcoming sequels, in an interview with Gaming Indians.
"We haven't even announced the game yet" says Livingstone, "So everything you hear about the next Hitman game is purely speculation at this point." He goes on to speculate that the game is being developed by series creators and veterans IO Interactive.
The Hitman sequel is perhaps little surprise, as all other Eidos franchises listed in corporate documents released in April were already known to have sequels underway.
Livingstone also reveals that the sequel to Kane & Lynch: Dead Men under development at IO Interactive is currently scheduled for a September release, though "these games often slip because the production times are so difficult to predict."
On Tomb Raider, Livingstone says "The next Tomb Raider, I think, will surprise a lot of people and reinvigorate the franchise. There are some remarkable things we're doing in the next Tomb Raider to make you say, 'Oh Lara, I love you so much!'" Oh Ian!

The whole customization thing was kind of cool but why get rewarded with assault rifles and shotguns when using those weapons yields a crap mission rating that prevents further rewards, and doesn't mesh with the intended gameplay at all?

Kane & Lynch is a great rental to play with a friend. The game from beginning to end is fast paced and you never feel like what you are doing is legit but you just keep doing it. I've never felt more like a criminal when Lynch started murdering hostages at random while we were robbing a bank. This was a great game also.
I really hope the next Hitman is just a revamped, new story, new missions, new weapons version of Blood Money with nothing changed. It was nearly perfect.

Hell, the last two were perfectly decent, good fun platformers. The franchise is fine. Just dont release them the same time as eleventy-billion other games in November.
