Ghostbusters Hitting PlayStation First in Europe, Coming to PSP This Fall
by Chris Faylor, May 06, 2009 9:10am PDTThe European release schedule for the impending Ghostbusters game became a little complicated today, with the title now receiving a staggered release in the territory.
Unlike North America, which gets PC, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS versions of the game on June 16, Europe will only receive the PS2 and PS3 editions on June 19. The remaining console versions will hit Europe later in the year, MCV was told.
That topsy turvy setup is thanks to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, now the Euroland publisher for the PlayStation editions of Ghostbusters. Atari, which is publishing all versions in North America, will handle the remaining iterations later on.
In addition, the rumored PSP version of Ghostbusters was formally announced. It's slated to arrive this fall, but no word on which studio is responsible. The PC, PS3 and 360 editions are being done by Terminal Reality, with Red Fly on Wii, DS and PS2.
