CoD: World at War Maps Pass 2 Million Downloads

5
Activision today announced that the first map pack for Call of Duty: World at War has recorded over two million downloads.

The $10 pack already broke records in March when it surpassed 1 million downloads in a single week. A second map pack, set to include even more zombie content, is set for release in June.

    Too bad COD:WaW is sub-par.

You hate to see people glomming over a game like this that really isn't all that great. Are people starved that badly for shooter action on their consoles and/or PCs?

Fair enough, I suppose - ironically, the weapons and the way they felt was what hugely turned me off to this new COD game. :( Just felt clunky...what I'd call, "Treytarch-ish", if you will. :(

you're not alone, totally hated the game cause of the weapons sound effects, i felt like shooting with baby guns and the SP maps had no soul and werent interesting at all

The campaign wasn't great. The level layouts and use of blocking volumes were frustrating and impeded flow of gameplay.
The multiplayer, on the other hand, is great fun and where the game truly shines.
