The following video is a continuation of the previous trailer for R.U.S.E., the World War II strategy game from Eugen. In this segment, we see the narrator activate an actual ruse--and then bomb the hell out of Monte Cassino.

R.U.S.E. should hit the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime around or before early 2010.

What's with all these titles of capitalised acronyms? I'm getting weary of it.

HAWX was already far outstaying its welcome as far as titles go, but then the madness doesn't stop, we have RUSE.

Let's add it to the list of FEAR, GRID, STALKER and FUEL.
    Cruise control, anyone?

Are you sure that FUEL is an acryonym? I think they just capitalize it in their marketing.

It's the same tired idea, really. They just want the title to stand out. I really don't think that something as long as STALKER, for example, has any actual meaning or point in view of the game - at best, the title's probably a "backronym".

Why not make these games' titles look like all the others? This is just being different for the sake of it.

Could be worse...it could be Tom Clancy's R.U.S.E.

      What's wrong with F.E.A.R.? I think it's genius!
First Encounter Assault Recon...so awesome, and it's a horror game too, so FEAR fits in just right.

And besides, does it really matter?

      GRID and FUEL aren't acronyms.

And again here.... please tell me how FEAR and RUSE are even remotely similar. I'm dying to know how you get FPS and RTS/RTT in your tantrum of qliches.

        1) They are both four letters long.
        2) They both contain two vowels, one of which is E.
        3) They are both acronyms.
        4) You are a jabroni until you get your degree.

I think #4 might be pushing it.

Anyway, study 1-3 carefully, and good luck to you.
