Resident Evil 5 PC Official, Hitting Later This Year; Street Fighter 4, Bionic Commando PC in July

38
Surprising no one, developer Capcom today confirmed that the oft-rumored PC version of Resident Evil 5 will arrive "later in the year," with the PC editions of Street Fighter IV and Bionic Commando due in July. All three will be sold via retail and digital distribution.

"All three games will be optimized for the PC platform and will have new PC-specific features added to the already great games," wrote Capcom. Both Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter IV hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 earlier this year, with the console edition of GRIN's swinging action game Bionic Commando slated to hit on May 19.

Details on the "new PC-specific features" for each game follow below. Be aware that Resident Evil 5 sported online co-op on consoles--the new feature for that title is the compatibility with NVIDIA's GeForce 3D Vision technology.

Street Fighter IV

The PC version of Street Fighter IV will feature online play, higher screen resolutions and three new shaders based on three of the "artistic" trailers released in 2008 that will change the visual appearance of the game: "watercolor," "posterization" and "sumi-e ink" styles.

Bionic Commando

The PC version of Bionic Commando will support higher resolutions than the console version, remappable controls including mouse and keyboard support, support for both DirectX 9 and DirectX 10 and online connectivity for multiplayer sessions.

Resident Evil 5

The PC version of Resident Evil 5 will feature online play for co-operative play sessions over the internet and will also take advantage of NVIDIA's new GeForce 3D Vision technology (wireless 3D Vision glasses sold separately).

Please, for the love of all things Holy, Capcom, add an option to make Sheva never pick up any items. PLEASE.

Why not? She does a great job carrying herbs and handgun ammo while I get the cools guns.

Or better yet, use something besides the stupid fucking pistol when covering me. My Sheva has unlimited ammo for the machine gun, pistol, and soon shotty and she ALWAYS goes with the pistol.. Sooo stooopaaaaaddddd..

I had the same problem and ended up only giving the AI one, maybe two infinite ammo weapons at a time -- neither of which was ever the pistol. AI is so over-reliant on that gun type!

Good idea, I'm removing her pistol.

Something funny happened last night in the game, we both had to pull switches so I started mine and she went to hers and a monster attacked me from behind, bringing me to near death where she has to resuscitate you and she's all, "I'm coming!" but never did get off that switch. I walked over to her calling "CMON! CMON! SHEVA! CMON!" repeatedly and she still was on the switch going, "OK! OK! I'M COMING! etc etc.." Of course I died. Whadda bitch.

Does nobody play this game co-op? Looking at the other posts in the thread it seems the AI is pretty shitty, so why not get a friend to join you? That's how I played through and it was a lot of fun.
