Batman Arkham Asylum Trailer: Fancy Cape Flow

The below trailer for Rocksteady's stealth-action title Batman: Arkham Asylum is meant to demonstrate the game's "FreeFlow combat system," but if you ask me, the real star is Batman's cape. Sure, there's some slight clipping, but it's still rather impressive.

Look for Batman: Arkham Asylum to hit PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in June.

The dialogue and scripting was pretty cheesy at the end, there, but everything else looks really cool. Now I'm stuck wondering if the PC version will offer good controls or not. Otherwise I'm stuck with the less-graphically fancy 360 version.

They kept cutting the video after every one or two hits -- couldn't get a good impression of how the combat will flow in a larger fight.

However, the game looks fun. Definitely excited about it.

Ingame animations have become awesome!

Is Bane a zombie?

What I really dislike: Most Batman games have a really spooky atmosphere. Like the Sega/Nintendo games in the 90s - inspired by Batman Returns (Batman 2 by Tim Burton).

I wish they would make it stick to a more action/technology/crime style like Nolans movies or the original Batman.

Looks like it might be ok. I'd love a good batman game its been a long time. Last good one I can recall was the like SNES one based on the animated series.

Wow, I was all excited about them using the voices from the animated series at first, but now I'm starting to think it's just not working here. Though the voice actors did a great job on the show, maybe this game is just too gritty and dark to make it work. Sounds too silly. I think we need something between this and Bale's throat-cancer-batman from the movies.

Game looks like a ton of fun, though.
