MAG Screenshots: War Never Changes

New screenshots of Zipper's 256-player PlayStation 3 multiplayer title MAG (Massive Action Game) have emerged our of publisher Sony, providing a glimpse of the various battlefields players will encounter in the next title from the SOCOM veterans.

As far as a release date, all we know for sure is that MAG is slated to hit within Sony's current fiscal year, which ends of March 31, 2010.

The art style looks absolutely fantastic. Why do the consoles get all these cool games that try all these interesting, new things, where as the PC is all like "hey kids.. our games has an M4 in it!"

Am I the only one that thinks this looks a kind of generic? 256 player cap is really cool, but I don't know how appealing that is when it's set in the same bland looking modernish setting I've seen in other shooters already.
