Some new footage of Raven's Singularity (PC, PS3, 360) has emerged from publisher Activision, demonstrating more of the "aging" powers players have at their command.

Another glimpse of the game, this one dubbed "Manufacturing," follows:

Activision has yet to specify a release date for the game, though those always-questionable retail listings are currently specifying a mid-September release.

Atmosphere looks amazing. Hopefully the game play compliments it. From the looks of it, this is a winner.

To me the gameplay looks dull. The enemies don't react to getting shot, making combat dull, and the aging thing seems like a gimmick. You can age cover to make it lower rather than just shooting it. Eh.

I like the stuff Raven makes so hopefully these trailer impressions are a fluke.

The way stuff ages makes it look the game has a ways to go yet. I mean, you think it'd be a bit more gradual in some cases, but instead it's just instant cover.

Yeah me too. I mean, how come when we were all watching HL2 movies, the Gravity gun wasn't a gimmick, but this is?

Because the game isn't developed by Valve; I could bet you if it was no one would be saying anything

The gravity gun always looked impressive (except in that Doom 3 expansion). You could tear stuff off walls, throw things at enemies and see the full Havok physics effect. It did bring a lot of cool stuff to the table and was better implemented. In fact, the early trailers made it seem even cooler than it turned out to be.

Looked pretty dull to me too if I'm honest. Oddly edited trailer as well. :/
