Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Screenshots Demonstrate Upscaling Options
by Chris Faylor, Apr 28, 2009 7:41am PDTFresh off yesterday's revelation that an enhanced remake of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, producer Rey Jimenez has provided three screenshots to show off the various graphic filters in the downloadable fighter.
"We didn't redraw the game like we did with [Super Street Fighter II Turbo] HD Remix (the thought of even trying that gargantuan task has kept me up at night, so many more frames than HD Remix)," wrote Jimenez in a Capcom Unity blog post, "but we did include some visual options in the game that we think you'll like."
Developed by Backbone Entertainment and packing online play, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will sell for $15 when it hits the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Arcade this summer, with a PlayStation 3-exclusive demo slated to arrive this Thursday, April 30.

Why don't they ever do a CRT-like filter like they have in MAME?

A nice interlaced-emulation mode would make these classics look original again.

Not sure I would want to drop $15.00 on something they aren't modifying. I bought the SFIIHD Remix because the graphics have been redrawn for HD use. A scaller? This isn't the 90's anymore...

I would pay $500 if they did the same to SNK vs Cap 2.
I guess I will no longer care if NullDC gets sound emu.
