Killzone 2 'Steel & Titanium' DLC Priced

Concluding the usual cycle of downloadable content-related news, Sony has revealed the price point for the two new Killzone 2 multiplayer maps coming next week.

The "Steel & Titanium Pack," which contains both maps, will run $5.99 when it arrives on April 30, according to the official PlayStation.Blog, which also posted this new trailer:

i must be seriously old school but ive never paid for a map or a map pack.. its fucking ridiculous.. thats one strike against consoles.. freakin costs too much for everything.. i dont just mean the 6 bux for this, its the cumulative total of all dlc that just adds up to a lot in the long run

DLC prices are out of control. The typical $10 for four maps is bad enough ($2.50 per map), but now Sony wants to try and squeeze us for $3.00 per map.

Kudos to Monolith for releasing the FEAR 2 multiplayer maps for free. Free updates keep people from selling their games back to Gamestop when they get bored, and thus reduce the supply of used games that put downward pressure on the sales price of new copies of the game.
