First Look: Russell Crowe in Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood
http://www.slashfilm.com/2009/04/19/first-look-russell-crowe-in-ridley-scotts-robin-hood/
"The untitled Robin Hood adventure chronicles the life of an expert archer, previously interested only in self-preservation, from his service in King Richard’s army against the French. Upon Richard’s death, Robin travels to Nottingham, a town suffering from the corruption of a despotic sheriff and crippling taxation, where he falls for the spirited widow Lady Marion (Blanchett), a woman skeptical of the identity and motivations of this crusader from the forest ... The main cast has already been announced: Russell Crowe as Robin Hood, Cate Blanchett as Lady Marion, Vanessa Redgrave as Queen Eleanor, Mark Strong as Sir Godfrey, Oscar Issac as King John, Léa Seydoux as French Princess Isabella, William Hurt as Earl of Pembroke, William Marshall and the Merry Men: Scott Grimes as Will Scarlet, Kevin Durand as Little John, Alan Doyle as Allan Adayle."
One-Eyed Monster ... starring Ron Jeremy o_O
http://themovieblog.com/2009/04/one-eyed-monster-trailer-online
“The cast and crew of an adult film, stranded in a blizzard, must band together against a mysterious and deadly alien, which has possessed the actor with the biggest part—Ron Jeremy (naturally). Now, with the monster on a killing spree, the race is on to trap and destroy it before there are more victims of its peculiar skills."

Speaking of Music. What do yall think is the best album of the 2000s so far? I think one of these:
Arcade Fire - Funeral
William Basinski - The Disintegration Loops
The Fiery Furnaces - Blueberry Boat
Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights
I know Interpol gets a lot of shit now but I still think their first album is brilliant. What's your choice?

I am thinking:
The Dark Knight
The Fountain
Heat
A girl does not have to like them, but how they talk about those movies tend to tell me a lot about their tastes.

So I work for a small Tech company in the IT department doing various odd jobs. I technically have no programming experience beyond doing random shit with VBA in Excel. What I do know in VBA I picked up fast and it always seemed fairly logical so I had no problem figuring shit out. I've also managed to help solved a couple of programming problems over the few months I've been there just from sitting behind a programming and checking out what they're doing.
Anyway, on to my question.
They have been interviewing programmers for a while, and most aren't passing whatever test it is they give them.
After someone else failed the test horribly today, the programming manager came up to me and asked me to take it tomorrow. He said it's more of a test of problem solving skills than raw programming talent, and he seems to think I might be able to handle it.
I don't know what the test is, and I don't even know what programming language I have to use for it. I heard them say something about regular expressions to one of the dudes... but that doesn't help me. I have internet access and you're allowed to use the internet for the test, but I'm basically going to be 90% winging it.
Anyone have any tips for some basic programming concepts I could read up on that might help me out? I somehow doubt I'll pass it, but I would rather not sit there like an idiot for an hour because I don't even understand what I'm supposed to be doing.

But I can't for the life of me figure out why. There's been one or two things that have made me smirk, but most of it just makes me facepalm that anyone would pay someone else to make this shit. Especially all of the sequences that must be designed to cause epileptic seizures.
I think some of it's supposed to be a parody but...it's complete lack of subtlety makes it fail miserably.

10 tracks - 7 from the game and 3 remixes of them. This is a "pay as you feel" with the artists getting 50% of the sales, though they recommend $8 to $12 as "generous" in their pricing scheme.

I'm thinking of getting refurbed 3G for $150, but I'll be getting the new one when that comes out. I'll then give the 3G to my girlfriend. Solid plan?
