by Chris Faylor, Apr 16, 2009 9:08am PDTUbisoft Montreal's open-world murder-oriented action game sequel Assassin's Creed II will arrive on "all current-generation platforms" in "holiday 2009," publisher Ubisoft has revealed.
The sequel, in development for over two years, promises "more variety in missions, surprising and engaging new gameplay elements, diverse weapons and a profound character progression," the company said today.
Previously, Ubisoft had only said the game would hit by March 31, 2010.
The game is currently featured in the latest issue of Game Informer magazine, with many of the details contained within that story having already hit the internet.
