Following a retailer listing earlier this week, developer Harmonix today confirmed the contents of The Beatles Limited Edition Premium Bundle that arrives alongside the standalone game and long-awaited digital remasters of The Beatles catalog on 9/9/09.

The limited edition is priced at $250 in the US. Internationally, it will sell for 199 euros (Europe) and 179 pounds (UK). It packs:

  • The Beatles: Rock Band software
  • Hofner Bass controller: Large scale replica of the Bass famously used by Sir Paul McCartney
  • Beatles-inspired and Ludwig-branded Rock Band 2 drums with classic pearl finish and vintage replica Beatles kick drum head
  • Microphone
  • Microphone Stand
  • Additional special content

The multi-instrument music game, packing no more than 45 classic Beatles tunes and unreleased material , is slated to hit PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii. While images of the replica instruments were not provided, the latest update to the game's official site, seen in the above image, appears to show some in-game renders of the instruments.

Ringo Starr did not suck in any way, he is probably one the most underrated drummers out there mainly as he did not do any drum solos (Only one on a Beatles record, on The End on Abbey Road) He´s a great percussionist and never lost a beat when the screaming maxed out.

Ringo also dwarfed in the shadows off Lennon / Mccartney as he did just write one song (Octopus's Garden).

There are only a handful of songs where Paul or someone else steps up and plays drums. First because of Ringo being inexperienced as a studio artist and being replaced by a session player, then during the recording of the White Album he walked out and quit the band - but returned later on after his anger faded away and then on The Ballad of John and Yoko because Paul and John Lennon were just jamming alone one night and did the song.

      So yeah.
