Sony Asks Fans to Create Their Dream God of War 3 Collector's Edition

Too bad they don't let you write in anything.

Thing is, the quality of these items is much more important than the quantity.

Art book, comic book, statue/figure, soundtrack, making of - all of these things can do done really well of really shitty.

I don't want a shit-tastic fits in your ass crack gears of war style art book. Nor do I want a well illustrated but horribly written mortal kombat vs. dc comic book. A bioshock or resistance figure is cool, but the micro assassins creed, resident evil 5, sf4, and halo 3 figures are a joke. Sounds tracks are cool, but not when it's only a couple of tunes and you have to buy the complete soundtrack separately. Making of/behind the scenes are cool when you actually get some unique insight to the team like on Ninja Gaiden Sigma, but the usual Gears/Halo3/Ass Creed/99% others are bullshit "well we wanted to create a unique fun experience blah blah" nobody cares to hear that PR bullshit. Show me Itagaki drinking at the bar with his buddies, talking about how they got into the business, that shit is at least kinda interesting.

"The GoW 1/2 on bluray" and the "cinematic compilation" were the only two interesting things on there.

Exclusives are always a lame thing.

I almost bought the BioShock collector's edition, with grand dreams of standing my little Big Daddy up in a fish tank. I got so distracted wondering whether he would be fish-safe or not that I entirely forgot how just plain neat he is and didn't buy it.

Full so... 1 and 2 on blue ray... dev comm.... hmmm aaaannnnd.... no cloth map. Seriously? It isn't a collector's edition without a cloth map.

The Peggle CE came with a cloth map!

What good would having God of War 1 and 2 on blu ray be to everyone who doesn't have a BC Ps3 (i.e. most of Europe)? Unless they are actual ports in which case, that is the obvious choice for sure!

I want the Kratos makeup kit, so I can paint my face to look just like Kratos.

I did my part. Everything 1 except for God of War I & II on Blu-Ray a 10 and Developer Commentary a 5!

I'm sure no one picks access to downloadable content. That shit is the biggest cop-out ever. If someone pays an extra 10 or 20 bucks they should at least get something of value in return.
