Big Huge Games Experiences Big Huge Media Leak, Oblivion Designer's Game Reportedly Canceled

4
Rise of Nations developer Big Huge Games has canceled its two known projects, Kotaku reports, alongside rumors that several companies have expressed interest in buying the otherwise doomed studio from THQ, including Curt Schilling's 38 Studios.

One of the two games was a PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 action-RPG, Ascendant, being led by Oblivion designer Ken Rolston. The other was the "quirky" Wii project, God: The Game. A trailer and screenshots for Ascendant, along with numerous pieces of concept art from both titles, also surfaced on the site, lending further credibility to the report.

Described as a "rough, rough cut," the Ascendant trailer can be seen below:

Very sad. For a "rough cut" this looks better than a lot of games that see releases. I may be biased though because action-rpg's are one of my favorite genre and I've always liked BHG for RoN and Catan.
