Space Still Pretty in New Star Trek Online Screens

The MMO is due to hit PC and consoles. We don't know exactly when, but ...someday.

I hope this is not the case, but if it is the case I fear the worst for this game. Players simply do not find linear MMORPGs appealing (unless of course they don't have subscriptions like Guild Wars).
People want more freedom in MMORPGs, in fact, this seems to be one of the main appeals. I mean let's face it, the biggest difference between say, Everquest and Second Life is that there is more pew pew and less qq in Everquest than there is in Second Life. But in reality the general concept is the same for a lot of gamers. The idea is messing around in a different world and if one is constrained in how one does that, the experience is significantly diminished.
