A Bloody Batch of Prototype Screenshots
by Chris Faylor, Apr 08, 2009 10:38am PDTThe latest screenshots for Radical Entertainment's super-powered open-world game Prototype fall into two distinct categories: bloody chaos and tasteful character portraits.
A new trailer was also released, revealing the first half of the game's intro cinematic. As revealed this morning, Prototype hits PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on June 9.

(Or let's hope so anyway. My hype meter for this one went so far off the scale it's come full circle back to "Quietly Dubious". I've been burnt way too many times in the past by games like you, Prototype).

Seriously, this looks interesting, but the fact that the protagonist, can seemingly do anything and has no limits bothers me. Your hands can turn into blades, you can run up buildings, you can turn into people to disguise yourself, you can chuck cars around like toys.... Is anything challenging in this game at all? Can you also shoot nukes out of your ass? Can you turn enemies into sandwiches?
The gist here seems to be that this guy was part of some secret military program.. Well, programs usually have a specific focus.. They probably wouldn't turn you into god of everything.

One of the very few games that actually look promising and look like a quality product with a lot of effort put into it. I mean..just look at the cool transformation animations, holy shit! That's never been done like that in any other game before.
Absolutely got my order. I'll not hesitate for one millisecond to pre-order if available xD
I hope it doesn't get delayed on PC, otherwise....well..

Sorry for shouting, but I just really, really want to play this. Last week I even went and found my copy of Ultimate Destruction just to get a taste of what Prototype might be.
