That's cool I've been thinking about getting this game ever since it got awesome reviews. It would be nice if they would add trophies via a patch, it might push me that final bit to pick it up.

Do it. It's an excellent game, even without worrying about Trophies. Terrific story and characters and very unique and appealing visuals. One of the very few games where I wanted to finish the gameplay (which is great fun) just to get to the next cutscene.

I liked the characters, didn't care too much for the story, but did like some of the character development in the side stories. That said it's all about the gameplay for me. Oh, and while some of the main characters have good voice actors in English others are horrible which led me to play with the Japanese on (a few annoying high pitched voices but nothing painful like the English... which reminds me of the voices in Star Ocean 4... OK maybe not that bad)

I say do it as well. It's a good game, but personally I cant sit down and play it too long, each mission can take anywhere from half an hour up to two hours to complete, and since it's a big game of chess in a sense it gets a bit overbearing. I have another four missions still to finish and have had it since christmas. It is a very good game though.
