The Onion Blows Away Shooters, Max Payne with 'Close Range' Report

This game would work really well on consoles. The one button requirement surely wouldn't be too much for your average gamepad, and they wouldn't even need to give it an auto-aim system, since you can't miss.

Finally a shooter that is really fun, engaging and artful! This game surpasses my all time favorite"Redneck Rampage in quality and entertainment factor.

I'm sorry but I think they're off the mark with this one. It may seem to an outsider who only knows about games through sensationalist or mainstream news reports that this is a fair swipe at a tendency games have, but whoever came up with it has a very shallow understanding of what games do. All games create a context for the action they depict, through the world they create and through the story which the player becomes part of. In this "satire" the violence is completely without context. That is a big difference. By taking away the context they are not simply exaggerating an aspect of games to make a point, they are removing what makes games games, meaning their satire is completely wide of the mark. If they are actually satirising the media perception of games, then they might have a point, but I don't think they are. This is pretty stupid.

I don't get it? All I did was click when a head popped up and that's it. How could this even be called a game? It might as well be a video.
