Fight Night Round 4 Video Touts Punchy Physics
by Nick Breckon, Apr 06, 2009 10:40am PDTSometimes shooters are measured by the satisfying recoil of a rifle, or the sound of a particular explosion. With boxing games, it's all in the speed of the punches. Something like a butterfly, sting like a bee, as they say.
Alright, I don't know anything about boxing, but hopefully the champs at EA Canada do. The studio's Fight Night Round 4 is hitting up PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this summer.

In 1 video, EA has just made the previous Fight Nights obsolete. The physics here looked like the most realistic combat physics seen in a game so far. Outside of Streetfighter, this is my favorite fighting series, even if FNR3 was a small step back despite its then-awesome graphics (just like streetfighter, except without the revisions that made each entry better).
