Wolverine Trailer Says Game Won't Suck

"He's the ultimate bad-ass in the world of comics," Raven senior artist Cory Carani says of Wolverine in the below video. "He can do things that other super heroes can't."

Later on, the developer says his title is "the movie game that finally does not suck."

Inspired by the impending action movie of the same name, X-Men Origins: Wolverine launches alongside the flick--which you may have already seen--on May 1. The game's due to hit just about everything: PC, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS and PSP

I like how they say you can do any move you want ...

so can I grab a dude bend him over and stick my fist up his ass and then extend my claws so they burst out of his chest? Probably not. How about can I decapitate people with full gore? Most likely this doesn't look to have very much blood.

Games have a long way to go before they please the normal gamer like myself.

I think the graphics look really amazing though. The characters & animation are looking really nice and that area on the bridge actually looks enjoyable.

Even if its true and the game itself doesn't suck, everyone will still say it sucks because it will be done and over from start to finish in less than 6 hours like every other big title these days.

I really don't understand how games take 3-4 years to develop sometimes, but end up being less than 10 hours of gameplay. Guess thats why I like rpgs so much more than action/adventure games. They actually give you your moneys worth in terms of things to do other than achievement/trophy hunting.

As good as this look, I don't think that they've actually created the "definitive wolverine game." Last I checked, wolverine wasn't someone from the streetrighter series who could spin in circles, with spinning lighting effects to go along. For the most part, he was just an ordinary person with some extraordinary abilities. The lunging move, while a nice fresh idea, is ridiculously exaggerateded. For someone who has huge claws, you'de expect a little.. well.. blood. But the game looks very sterile. Looks like publishers really are trying to push T ratings on games these days.

And the rage aspect..? So... the game encourages you to suck?
