Red Faction: Guerrilla Gets Firm Release Date
by Chris Faylor, Mar 31, 2009 12:25pm PDTIn a double dose of Volition-related news--see today's revelation of Saints Row 2 DLC--the studio's next game, Red Faction: Guerrilla, now has a solid release date.
The destruction-oriented sequel will hit PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on June 9, a representative for publisher THQ informed Shacknews. That's backed up by numerous retailer listings, which show a hard publisher-mandated street date for the same day.
The third Red Faction deviates a bit from Volition's past work on the series--instead of a linear first-person shooter, Guerrilla's a third-person action game set in an open world.
A downloadable demo is slated to apparently slated to hit consoles on April 23, with those that pre-order from GameStop getting access almost three weeks before.
