Shack PSA: Alien Hominid 50% Off on Xbox Live

For this week's Xbox Live Deal of the Week, store operator Microsoft has discounted The Behemoth's Alien Hominid HD to 400 Microsoft Points ($5)--50% off its usual price.

After the frantic side-scrolling shoot and slice 'em up hit Xbox Live in 2007, The Behemoth went on to produce the 2008 side-scrolling beat 'em up, Castle Crashers.

As with other recent Xbox Live deals, the discount is only available to Gold members.

Oh man I'll get this, I heard it was wicked hard. I have not had a monitorpunch game since that Bionic Commando:ReArmed.

  I've only played through the demo, but the bosses were tough, mainly because they had about a zillion hitpoints, and you were trying to shoot them with slightly moistened spitballs.

    You can charge up your shots which make them far more effective and make the game a lot more fun IMO.
