Battlefield 1943 Screenshots: Old Map, New Look

31

Ensuring that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 doesn't get all of the attention today, EA has released a few new screenshots from DICE's other major Battlefield effort, 1943.

The download-only game brings 24-person multiplayer and three classic maps--Wake Island, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima--to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this summer.

You can only add so many new things to WW2. Just updating the graphics won't be enough to sell this. GIVE US BATTLEFIELD 3 GOD DAMNIT

Why are WW2 games limited, but not modern combat like BF2?

Personally, I thought BF2 sucked. It really seemed to bring about the douchery with the stat nerds and moved the game away from a team concept and gigantic arcade skirmishes. I much prefer BF 1942 and BF Vietnam.

On a side note, it does look decent, but 720p? Console shots? 24 players? You're just laughing at us, aren't you, EA.
