Burnout Paradise PC Patch Brings DLC Support

13
Now available on FileShack is the Burnout Paradise 1.100 patch, allowing those with the PC version of Criterion's racer to purchase the latest downlodable content.

The update packs the content needed to unlock the Legendary, Toy and Boost Special vehicles--already released as paid DLC on consoles--once purchased from the in-game Burnout Store, and must be applied if players wish to engage in multiplayer.

Chris Faylor was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

That's weird that the update is mandatory to get the DLC. I was under the impression that the "Ultimate" box had the in-game store already built in. I can't say I know from personal experience, but I was under the impression.

these notes say otherwise. probably mandatory so people that buy them can still play with people that don't own em

The update brings the car content into the game--you need to have the update so that you can race online against people that own the new cars. Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions work the same way.
