Mega Man 2 Arrives on iPhone
by Chris Faylor, Mar 26, 2009 5:57pm PDTContinuing a week of surprise revelations for iPhone and iPod Touch users, Capcom today released an iPhone version of its infuriating NES classic Mega Man II. It's priced at $5 and weighs in at 13.2 MB, meaning you won't be able to download it via 3G or Edge.


Capcom points out that the gameplay has been rebalanced for iPhone, which is undoubtedly for the best, as a touch screen-controlled port of platformer that demands absolute precision problably isn't the best idea, especially given the amount of broken gamepads that Mega Man II has left in the wake of its multiple incarnations.

I can play through 2, doing the bosses in any order, and killing each one with only the basic shot (except Wily bosses that are immune), without dying. I can also beat Crashman with the basic shot without taking damage which is a hit at parties (huge nerd alert).
