It just occurred to me how some shacker names aren't easily pronounced, and whenever I read them I kind of automatically substitute something I can hear in my head that makes sense. I know many here think or used to think that I'm action wombat. Well, here are some shacker names that I regularly change, confuse, or bungle. Some are pretty stupid of me to do but you get the idea.

Anybody have any questions for one of the lead designers for D&D 3.0 and the writer of the 3.0 DMG?

Somebody really needs to make a game with the action (and difficulty) of Ninja Gaiden and the awesome free running of Assassin's Creed. That is all.

Maybe if their police weren't so corrupt, or if everyone wasn't so fucking corrupt they could have a functional society. Instead blame the white man

What the hell was the name of that arcade game where you dropped the white ball into the pegs for it to bounce down into the holes, was it called "TMNT Sewer Drop" or something? I've been searching for a pic for forever.

I have to say John Fogerty; his voice is just haunting and awesome in this song:

I know there are opera singers that have incredible voices, but there's just something about his voice that really "moves" me.

"A few other notes that Nintendo has to feel proud about: the Wii Balance Board has almost as large an installed base as the PS3 worldwide, a fact that caused the audience to draw in air through their teeth in sympathy for Sony."
Damn.

I have a $1k budget but I'm having a hard time deciding on a DSLR. Here's the deal, I'm going to be using it mainly for landscape photography and other misc. photography (take a look at my Flickr page to see what I've been shooting so far: http://www.flickr.com/photos/_christ0ph_/ ) and as such I'm pretty much set on getting the Sigma 10-20mm lens, so I'm looking at either a Canon or Nikon. The lens itself is about $450 so I can't spend much on the camera itself. I also want to get a camera that has a kit lens included. I figure I can upgrade the body later but I want a good wide lens to start with.
Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards the XSi or possibly even the D40 from Nikon, as it's like $400 with lens. But it's only 6.1mp and doesn't do exposure bracketing, which I'd like to have for HDR. Also, the XSi is kinda out of my range... hmm....

If you're a student, you should apply for this year's Google Summer Of Code. You get paid to work on open source projects and not only does it teach you stuff and look good on your resume, you can get job offers directly out of it. See http://blog.chromium.org/2009/03/chromium-and-google-summer-of-code.html for a post about contributing to Chromium. I'm one of the mentors and I'd be happy to help.
Also we released Google Chrome 2.0.171.0 to the Dev channel today. Not a lot terribly exciting; bug fixes, plus a bunch of work that's off unless you throw various switches. Eventually (probably after another couple Dev releases) we'll do another Beta update.
If you tried Chrome and didn't like it,
* When was it? If it's been awhile maybe your issue has been fixed.
* What was the problem?

Apple refund clause: Bad for developers?
http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-10204817-37.html
tl;dr: If a user returns your app for a refund, you (the developer) have to pay the full refund amount even though you were only paid 70% in the first place.
