Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Trailer: Fancy Female Ninjas

by Chris Faylor, Mar 25, 2009 3:34pm PDT

Not only does our first proper look at Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 introduce us to resident protagonist Ryu, but we also get a glimpse of Ayane and Momiji. Sure, both have appeared in previous Ninja Gaiden games, but in Sigma 2? They're playable.

The enhanced PlayStation 3 port of last year's Xbox 360 action game also packs a new online mode that allows players to partake in specializes challenges. Expect to see Sigma 2 this fall, courtesy publisher Tecmo and its internal Team Ninja studio.

  • I hope they fix some of the more lame aspects of NG2 (when compared to NG Black and Sigma, i thought NG2 fell well short), like the frustrating focus on projectile weapon spamming from the enemies (fuck me that was annoying), fix the dodgy engine and get it running at 60fps all the time (how that stairway bit with the hundreds of enemies ever got past QA i'll never know!), remove the regenerative health, give me back my more than 3 healing items and balance the yellow essence so when you get to the half way point, you can't have upgraded every weapon to max and still be swimming in yellow essence (ok, that sounded weird...)
