Shack PSA: Prince of Persia 50% Off on Steam
Upon its release last fall, the game garnered mixed reactions. Some praised the title for its distinct look and smooth gameplay, while others complained it was too easy and marred by repetitive boss fights. The Epilogue downloadable content was meant to alleviate some of those issues, though the content will not be released on PC.

Any other Shackers try this out? If so, how is it, worth 24 bucks?

For $24, I'd say snag it for sure. Good art direction, nice dialogue and voice acting, entertaining plot. It's not a very challenging game mind you, so just keep in mind that you're going on a ride more than you're about to play a game. The way I see it, sometimes, nothing beats a good roller coaster.

most recently release, DoW2, which ive finished the campaign twice solo (once on default diff, and again on the hardest) and once co-op. plus some scattered online play. fallout 3 i got over 50 hours out of on the first play through, and im on the second being an evil bastard. god only knows how much time ive logged with sins of a solar empire. then theres all the games that were much longer than 10 hours to begin with, that ive replayed countless times since... deus ex, homeworld, freelancer, diablo/d2, titan quest, moo2, the first fallout, GTA4, the mechwarrior games, civ4, simcity, tron 2.0, space rangers 2, trackmania, world in conflict, hostile waters, the list goes on. these are currently installed and recently played, ive got shelves full of other games that are currently out of rotation. theres a whole WORLD of quality gaming out there competing for my dollars, and an even larger world of quality back catalog titles that hold as much appeal now as they did when originally released...
there are games with real gaming value, games that HOLD that value as well, and these are worth $25. theyre generally worth $50. based on everything ive read about PoP, it just doesnt qualify as one of those games. when its $10-15, ill prolly pick it up, play it once, and be done with it.-
Ah... Fallout 3. I just recently started it and got hooked right away. It's hard to be an evil bastard... I tried at the beginning by not restoring a previous savegame after making a big evil mistake... but eventually I can't help being friendly with people and helping them. I'll sure need to try again being a violent and hateful guy.

I don't think it's worth $5.
I bought the $60 version around Christmas. After trying it for about 7 hours it left such a foul taste in my mouth I couldn't finish it. Awful, repetitive combat that's so frustrating. Boring platforming that basically plays itself. No real goals or interesting challenges. Just collect orbs and fight obnoxious boss monsters. -

It's really not worth it, the gameplay and controls are horrible, the characters are cheesy as hell and the story is just plain boring.
I tried it for a couple of hours after rage quiting and uninstall this junk right away.
Better wait until it's like 5 bucks at WalMart if you are interested in it...
