First Madden NFL 10 Screenshot Released

EA Sports chief Peter Moore today revealed the first screenshot of Madden NFL 10, the next iteration of the long-running football franchise.

"While we have a number of announcements and updates to come over the next several weeks leading up to next month's NFL Draft, I'm excited to debut the first screenshot from this year's game right here this week," wrote Moore on his blog.

"We're hitting the real sweet spot of development for this generation of consoles as the team is really hitting its stride in squeezing every ounce of power and capability from the hardware," he continued. "In fact, the Madden team is taking such dramatic strides this year that we're in the position to go deep on features and details earlier than we've ever done before."

I lost faith when they bought exclusive rights to NFL names. 2k games did a better job but lost because they could not put the real names on the players.

Each iteration of Madden has been about the same and they just milk money from their customers.

Support innovation and boycott Madden.

why do they always show screenshots of instant replay stuff? i know when I play i press the button to skip over the replay 90% of the time. i guess they realize they cant make the regular angle from behind look much better than it already does.

hey it looks just like madden 09, and 08, and 07, and 06...

yearly sports iterations should be treated like expansion packs and priced accordingly. adding a couple of new players and changing a button press or two doesnt get me itching to spend $60, but to each his own, keep buying and theyll keep milking.

Yeah nice screen shot.......

How bout a shot of the actual game play? I highly doubt that is the quality you'll get in game. It looks more like a development render using the game engine at max settings/post processing effects and at much higher resolutions than what would be considered playable frame rate on a console.

I'm really excited to see what the dev team has to say about that shot - apparently they're all going to point out one thing that's changed from 09 specific to that screen.
